Hon'ble Dr. Mohan Yadav Ji, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, will inaugurate the HCL Technologies Centre of Excellence at Avantika University on Saturday, 21st December 2024. This initiative is a key academic collaboration with HCL Technologies. The inauguration ceremony will be attended by notable dignitaries, including Mr. Shailesh Awale, Centre Head and Associate Vice President of HCL Technologies, Nagpur, Dr. Nitin Rane, Vice Chancellor of Avantika University, and Dr. Manesh Patil, Registrar of Avantika University. The inauguration of this centre marks a significant milestone in the Avantika University's vision to enhance its academic and research capabilities, contributing to the development of a robust tech ecosystem in Madhya Pradesh.

Students win Smart India Hackathon 2024
Students from the School of Engineering at Avantika University, Satvik Rao, Riya Ranjan, Gaurav Ojha, Bhakti Dangri, Harshal Modi, and Garvin Pandya represented Team AKATSUKI_AU at the Grand Finale of the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2024, held in Bangalore from 11th to 15th December 2024. The students emerged victorious, bagging the first position at the prestigious event, organized by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and AICTE, Government of India. The team was awarded a cash prize of INR 1 Lakh for their unique approach to technology. The students worked on Problem Statement #1690 under the Ministry of Jal Shakti: "Use of Digital Knowledge Sharing Platforms (e.g., wikis) for Sharing Water-Efficient Techniques to Minimize Water Scarcity." Competing against 140 entries, their innovative solution for promoting water conservation through software development stood out, earning them a place in the top six teams at the finale. This remarkable achievement reflects the students’ dedication to creating impactful solutions for future challenges. Instilling a sense of responsibility towards society.

MIT ID Indore, Avantika University collaborates with Tvam Foundation, Pune to present students with an opportunity to experience diverse hands-on training, and industry-level projects on textiles. With Tvam Foundation students will experience a more refined research-oriented approach. Tvam Foundation, established in 2019 is committed to researching, celebrating, and educating the general public about the rich textile traditions of the Deccan, and its cultural narratives. This partnership will empower the students and faculties of Communication Design and Fashion Design in terms of research, documentation, designing of publications, exhibition design, and more.

Avantika University entered into a significant partnership with INTI International Education SDN BHD, after a memorandum of understanding was signed between Avantika University and INTI International University, Malaysia. This partnership will provide aspiring students with the much-required international exposure and perspective. Both parties established mutual cooperation and have agreed to conduct educational, research, and technological activities together. Student project selected for International Film Festivals
Bhushan Agrawal, a talented student from the School of Design at Avantika University, has achieved a remarkable milestone with his capstone project, a captivating short film, “Pehchan”, garnering significant recognition, as it has been selected for screening at three highly prestigious film festivals, the 36th Girona Film Festival, Kinovertikal - The International Festival, and the Webseries & Film Festival. M.Des student becomes part of the Government's Fire Fighting truck design
Yadhukrishnan Nair, an MDes student from the 2020 batch, is part of a prestigious team working on the design of a full-size truck. These vehicles are set to be India's first trucks equipped with a European-spec firefighting system, as part of the Government of India's initiative to introduce fully automated trucks. What makes this project even more remarkable is that the prototype currently under development is entirely handcrafted and hand-assembled. This design brings innovative firefighting capabilities to Indian roads, merging advanced technology with safety. By integrating European standards into the design, these trucks will set a new benchmark for emergency response vehicles in India. Yadhukrishnan’s role in this project highlights the learnings acquired during his study at Avantika University.

Avantika University revamped Pranpur receives Best Tourism Village Award by Ministry of Tourism, GOI
Avantika University’s initiative to renovate and revitalize the village of Pranpur, known for its most exquisite product, the gossamer thin Chanderi saree, once again brought laurels to the whole of the fraternity. The collective effort of revamping the village has again been recognized, making it one of the biggest milestones achieved in the history of any educational institution. The honor has been bestowed upon by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India on the joyful occasion of World Tourism Day. Pranpur has been crowned as the “Best Tourism Village- Craft Category Award.” The village, for its beautifully painted murals, is also regarded as the “Craft Handloom Tourism Village.”

Students from the School of Management excel at the Business Idea Pitching Competition
Jinsi Unjha and Aastha Namdev of the School of Management at Avantika University brought laurels to the University, by standing second in position at the Inter-College Business Idea Pitching Competition held in IMA Office, Jall Auditorium, Indore. Students presented the unique idea of "Home Delights", aimed at empowering the female chefs of our country. They developed a platform that would efficiently manage the delivery of home-cooked meals across places, a one-of-a-kind platform that would relieve the women chefs of everyday delivery-related hassles. This project prepared at short notice also received appreciation from the dignitaries.

The MSME Idea Hackathon 4.0 presents a unique opportunity for young innovators to contribute to India's economic growth and sustainable development by inviting them to present creative and viable solutions across diverse themes. Avantika University students win big at UXINDIA 2024 - Runner-Up for Best Design Award
We are proud to announce that the talented students of the School of Design secured the Best Design Award-Runner-Up at the prestigious UXINDIA 2024 Bangalore Chapter. The award was part of the Design X Social Global Innovation Challenge, organized by UMO Design in collaboration with UXINDIA and Happening Design. The competition saw participation from numerous design and non-design institutes across the globe, making it a highly competitive platform. The participants were tasked with addressing "Education - How can AI + Design transform traditional learning methods to provide personalized education for every student." Our team of Bdes final year students - UX Design (sem 7) - Priyanshi Katiyar, Rishab Jain and Samarth Kamath got shortlisted and secured the runner's up position in the award for Design Institutes category. We congratulate Priyanshi, Rishab, and Samarth for their outstanding performance and for representing the university with such distinction at an international platform.

Mihika Lagwankar's Student Mobility Program to Universitas Multimedia Nusantara
Ms. Mihika Lagwankar, a second-year B.Des (UX Design) student, participated in the Student Mobility Program at the Universitas Multimedia Nusantara in Indonesia for a period of three weeks. This cultural exchange provided her with the opportunity to experience the Indonesian language and culture. During her stay, Ms. Lagwankar attended various workshops, including those focused on disaster and risk management in Bayah village, entrepreneurship, Indonesian cuisine, robotics, and big data. These experiences essentially enriched her academic knowledge, allowing her to develop meaningful connections with peers from universities across Indonesia and Malaysia. This program earned her three international credits, further contributing to her academic and professional growth.

Hon'ble CM Dr. Mohan Yadav ji felicitates Avantika's Pranpur Initiative
The Hon'ble CM of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav ji praised and awarded Avantika University, and lauded the effort put forward by every student, and faculty towards rejuvenating the city of Pranpur, the heart of Chanderi handloom culture. He expressed his delight over how meticulously everyone came together to plan something that would later unfold into something extraordinary. He mentioned how the skills taught to the students at Avantika, were effectively at play to refurbish the city. The students and faculties successfully wove the essence of Chanderi sarees, painting and transforming every wall of Pranpur Village, which later received coverage from big media houses across the nation.

Hon'ble Dr. Mohan Yadav ji, CM, Madhya Pradesh visit Avantika University
A prestigious moment for Avantika University Ujjain, as the visionary Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Hon'ble Dr. Mohan Yadav ji graced the educational institution on 18th August 2024, on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. As a sense of gratification unfolded amongst the attendees, the much-awaited visit brought waves of joy across the campus. Hon'ble Dr. Mohan Yadav ji alongside the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor of Avantika University, Dr. Nitin Rane, and the Registrar Dr. Manesh Patil, inaugurated the Dara Fitness Center, the revamped gym facility, the largest in the city, built to ensure physical and mental fitness of the students, as a source of physical exercise is necessary to be fresh and energetic enough to be able to grasp the concepts of their education. The Hon'ble CM praised the University for its effort in ensuring student well-being. He also lauded the University for its pristine, green campus. He was visibly happy with the different facilities that the University had brought in place for the students to excel in every way possible, which he wholeheartedly mentioned in his speech. Another notable highlight of the day was inspired by PM Narendra Modi's and Govt. of India's initiative of 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam.' Since, mothers hold the highest status in our lives, paying respect to this thought, the CM with the University authorities planted trees to protect Mother Earth, further promoting Avantika's commitment to making this globe, cleaner and greener.

Avantika University celebrates the 78th Independence Day
As India celebrates its 78th Independence Day, Avantika University commemorates the valiant sacrifices of the brave souls made each day to protect this country, whose citizens we are proud to be. The celebration was graced by Retd. Col. Ashish Mangrulkar, the chief guest of the day, with Alumni Omkesh Patle and Saurabh Bhatt as Guests of Honor. The ceremony began with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Special Guests and Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. Nitin Rane, followed by an inspiring monologue by the Chief Guest. Everyone's chest swelled with pride watching the flag unfurl, glorifying the efforts that brought India and its people to where it stands today, basking in the glory of its rich culture and history. Avantika University, in an effort with the students, paid homage to the supreme sacrifices and selfless deeds of the martyrs, who laid down their lives to achieve liberation from the clutches of Britishers. Being the citizens of a democratic nation, this day is a reminder of the dawn of a new beginning.
