"Taking a nod of learnings from Indian culture, Avantika aims to provide the most inspiring learning environment that stresses on the all-round development of an individual."
The inspiring legacy of the revered founder Prof (Dr.) Vishwanath D. KaradIt was in the year 1981, that a freshly graduated engineering student, disheartened with limited opportunities that the education system had to offer, was on the verge of committing suicide when a brief encounter with Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad Sir refrained him from committing the extreme act. The incident moved him to the core, he witnessed how the state of Maharastra was crippled during the 1972 drought, desperately in need of engineers to alleviate the crisis and pull the state out of its miseries. The thought of desired students deprived of the education they deserved, moved him to initiate the formation of the first 9 private engineering colleges in Maharashtra. This endeavor eventually led to the establishment of Avantika University, India's first Design-centered University that harmoniously blends Design and Technology with Liberal Education, to revive the status of Ujjain as the leading center of knowledge, preserving its history and contributing towards societal welfare. Envisioned by Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad, Founder, and Chief Patron, of MAEER's MIT Group of Institutions, who coveted that quality education should reach every scholar irrespective of class, creed, and culture. Taking a nod to learnings from Indian culture, Avantika aims to provide the most inspiring learning environment that stresses the all-round development of an individual. At a time when the youth prioritizes revolt over patience, the society faces chaos, confusion, and conflicts, marked by a disregard for ethical, social, and moral values, deeply rooted in the 'indifferent' and 'I don't care' culture. In the face of this challenging landscape, MAEER (Maharashtra Academy of Engineering and Educational Research) is dedicated to inspiring integrity in the younger generation by adhering to the principles of value-based education. Today the tech-driven world is experiencing something new, something unique every day with mind-boggling inventions, where the revolution brought about by Artificial Intelligence just cannot be ignored. Dr. Karad believes the moral values that we inherit from our lifelong learnings will help us navigate through all the future hurdles, come what may.
