In educational institutions time is measured in semesters/ trimesters. In today's pandemic world, thousands of institutions are not just trying to finish the terms online but also bracing to start the next academic semester under similar situations.
Statistically speaking, more than 80% of the learners in the developed world are getting educated online as of now and we are not far behind. However its a fact that the levels of excellence in teaching online and hence the students satisfaction is varying.
The present and future of education now has online education as a core strategy rather than an optional one. No students should be considered a part of the "academic loss" generation" due to COVID. A proper online learning experience now needs serious planning by the bricks and mortars institutions.
Academic activities with lockdowns and social distancing will see a new normal, starting with reduction in classroom size. Every school and college has to ensure that online teaching tools are not going to be a problem. Its already time to have tested and evaluated the best online alternatives. The students need to be offered a teaching method and plan that actually works.
