World Bicycle Day is observed on June 3. The day is marked to spread awareness about the advantages of using a bicycle. The day highlights the “uniqueness, longevity and versatility of the bicycle”. To mark the occasion, a cyclothon was organized within the Avantika University campus. The staff of the university and bicycle lovers graced the event with their presence and relived their childhood memories of cycling. World Bicycle Day talks about the “benefits of using the bicycle — a basic, economical, clean, environmentally fit, and sustainable mode of transportation.”
