Dr. Indira Parikh, President – Antardisha delivered the Foundation Lecture on the occasion of university’s 4th Foundation Day. She is the President of Antardisha (Directions from Within), Former Dean at IIM Ahmedabad, and Founder of FLAME University, Pune. She has a Masters from University of Rochester, US and Doctorate from Gujarat University. She was a faculty at IIM- Ahmedabad for over 30 years and has also taught at INSEAD, Fontainebleau (France) and Texas A&M University.

The topic of the lecture was ‘Crossing the Threshold: Beginning of a New Journey in Education’. She narrated a story for the students to choose their own crossroads and about challenging and accepting themselves in every step of their lives. The story also had instances talking about the importance of independence, learning, and growing up from experiences. The major idea of the story was to motivate the students to choose and accept the path they want to walk on and not always the one which everybody chooses. She also talked about grabbing opportunities and strive towards them confidently.

She concluded the talk by quoting, “One should value his life, appreciate and lift others on the way, be disciplined, grab all opportunities and keep growing.”
