Awareness session on IPR successfully conducted on world IPR day

Avantika University in association with Patent Office, Kolkata, under the aegis of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India organized an awareness session on Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) on world IPR day on 26.04.2022. The one-hour awareness session saw 150+ participants across India. The speaker was Arnab Bhattacharyya - Examiner of Patents and Designs, from Patent Office Kolkata.

The session was organized with the following objectives in mind:

1. To educate researchers on how to protect their inventions and artwork and respect the IP rights of others.
2. To understand the importance of an IPR tool for promoting economic and technological advancement. 3. To protect national and cultural heritage. 4. To give inventors and authors incentive of disclosure of their invention and work, which in turn accelerate progress and growth across various sectors of our economy. 5. To express the outlook, thoughts, and ideas of entrepreneurs that make their future endeavors more viable and feasible.
