Padma Shri awardee, Dr. Sanjay Govind Dhande is a notable Indian engineer and educationist. He was the former director of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur. Dr. Dhande is currently mentoring Avantika University as the Chancellor and Distinguished Faculty Member. Presently, he is a member of the Scientific Advisory Council to the Prime Minister of India. He even served as a part-time member of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). Through charters for the Indian Institutes of Science for Education and Research (IISER) at Pune and Kolkata, he is actively assisting the Government of India to craft the vision documentation. Dhande has extensively worked in the field of Computer Aided Design, Rapid Prototyping, Rapid Tooling and Reverse Engineering. He was instrumental in developing AUTOLAY, an innovative CAD technology for the Indian Aeronautical Development Agency is currently in use by leading aircraft manufacturers around the world, and even utilized for the construction of light combat aircraft in India. He was also the founder director of PDPM Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing, Jabalpur - a beneficiary of the protocol signed by the Prime Ministers of India and Japan. Under the aegis of the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Dhande has even established the Indian Institute of Saddlery Technology and Export Management (IISTEM) at Banther near Kanpur to develop the traditional technology available in the region.
S. S. Mantha
Dr. S. S. Mantha, an eminent academician and an able administrator is the former Chairman of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). On completion of his tenure at AICTE, he worked as Professor of Robotics, CAD/CAM and AI in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at VJTI, Mumbai. He went on to become the Professor and Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering - a position he held for 6 years at VJTI, subsequent to which he was appointed the Pro Vice Chancellor, SNDT Women's University by the Government of Maharashtra. He specializes in Robotics which he taught for more than 15 years out of a rich teaching experience of more than 25 years. A PhD in Combustion modeling from University of Mumbai, he also had several administrative assignments that he took up for the University of Mumbai, as also being the Dean, Faculty of Technology. In recognition of his services, the Government of Maharashtra conferred the Best Teacher award of the State in 2002. He has more than 240 publications in National and International Journals and Conferences to his credit. He developed the National Vocational Education Qualification frame work (NVEQF), now called National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF), which helps in promoting skill-based competency modules to be integrated into seven certification levels where students can undergo skill-based learning that enhances employability. He is advisor to the International Organization for Educational Development and Member, Education Council, IOED, a diplomatic mission headquartered in India. He's currently the IT Expert for the Department of IT, Government of Maharashtra.

A graduate of Architecture from Academy of Architecture, Rajiv undertook post-graduate studies in Town and Country Planning at Government College of Engineering, Pune. He received the Netherlands Government Fellowship to study Urban Management at the Institute of Housing Studies at Rotterdam, Netherlands. His special interests include Urbanism, Community Architecture, Heritage Conservation, and Technology in Building Management, and Classical Arts and Education of Architects and Planners in a changing society. He has been exploring these fields extensively through various research studies trying to bridge the gap between education and practice. He completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Management of Education with reference to Architecture Institutions from the University of Mumbai. He has a teaching experience of 18 years (5 years at Academy of Architecture, and 13 at Sir J. J. College of Architecture) and has been involved in conducting seminars and workshops on subjects of Architecture Design, City Planning, History and Theory of Architecture, and Development of Urban Management. He was the Chairperson for the Course Committee of Interior Design at the University of Mumbai and involved with I.I.T Mumbai for Solar Passive Architecture education handbook. With a professional work experience of 21 years, Rajiv is presently the Director of Sir J. J. College of Architecture Consultancy Cell.
Dr. Vladimir Kulish is an established academician with a focused interest in Thermo-Molecular Physics, Applied Mathematics, and Mechanical Engineering. Dr. Kulish has a Dr. Sc. in Physics and Mathematics from the Russian Academy of Sciences, a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Southern Methodist University (Dallas, Texas), and M. A. in German Language & Literature from the Goethe Institute (Luxembourg). Before Avantika, Professor Kulish was associated with the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) as a regular faculty member for over 17 years. An ardent academician and researcher, Dr. Kulish's primary research interests are in the area of mathematical modeling of energy-informational transport processes, including transport phenomena in biological systems. Professor Kulish has been instrumental in developing a mathematical method (nowadays known as the method of Kulish). It allows solving complex problems in the areas of energy transport processes (e.g., ultra-fast heat transfer, start-up flows in nano-channels) and signal processing (e.g., biological signals such as electroencephalograms, electrocardiograms, and forecasting the behavior of multi-fractal time series). A celebrated author of six books and more than hundred publications in professional journals and peer-reviewed conference proceedings, Dr. Kulish is a holder of several prestigious awards for his scientific achievements. Currently, Dr. Kulish is Distinguished Professor and Vice-Chancellor of Avantika University.

Prof. Anant is a hardcore Engineering Postgraduate having a good innovative mind. A person with a very cool head on his young shoulders is known for his innovative and creative ideas in education. He did his graduation in Mechanical Engineering and his post graduation in Production engineering with 'Manufacturing Automation' as a specialization. After spending 6 years in small and medium scale industry, he joined MIT in 1993 as a junior lecturer in Production Engineering Department. He was instrumental for bringing latest technology to the institute and started MIT CAD CAM Training and Design Centre in the year 2000. His last responsibility was as the Head of Workshop and Production Engineering Department. Presently he is the Dean of MIT Academy of Engineering, MIT Art, Commerce and Science College, MIT School of Telecom Management and Dean - Design Habitat of MIT Institute of Design. His areas of interests are Analytical Drawing, Manufacturing Processes, Product Development, CAD CAM Automation, Tool Design and Development. He has undergone various Training programs in all these areas. He has also worked on many industrial projects dealing with tool design, product design and development. He has visited Italy, France, Germany, China and Malaysia for attending various conferences and meetings. He has habit of Dreaming about the new ventures and through his hard-work he conceptualizes those nicely and effectively. In-fact MIT ID is the brain child of Prof. Anant His further aim is establish a 'Design Habitat' which will have facilities of learning in the areas of Fine arts, Design, Architecture. Prasheel Suryawanshi is an established academician with a focused interest in Systems and Control, Signal Processing, Computing, Mechatronics, and their intersection towards Cyber-Physical Systems. He has a Doctorate in Control Systems from College of Engineering, Pune. Dr. Prasheel has more than 2-decades of experience in academics, research, and consulting, and his proficiency as a teacher and researcher has been widely acknowledged. Dr. Prasheel has pursued a deeper understanding of the dynamics between Design and Engineering, with a focus on Design-Centered Education. This liberal approach aims at, transcending disciplinary boundaries, creating new directions, giving birth to new ideas, and having the confidence to bring about a change. A passionate researcher, Dr. Prasheel's primary research interests are in sliding mode control, uncertainty and disturbance estimation, active disturbance rejection control, and autonomous systems. He has made significant contributions in robust control, by combining uncertainty estimation techniques with sliding-mode control, and developing simultaneous state and disturbance observers for uncertain systems. Dr. Prasheel has received research grants to the tune of INR 5-million and contributed significantly in engineering and educational consulting. A celebrated author of 4-books, 3-book-chapters, and over 50-research papers in archival journals and peer-reviewed conferences, Dr. Prasheel is also the author of several monographs, technical reports, and white-papers. Manesh is a dedicated academic professional with a collective experience of over 15 years.He holds a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Harcourt Butler Technological Institute (HBTI) Kanpur, followed by a PhD in Chemical Engineering and Technology. His research interests include Fuel Cell Technology, Non-conventional Energy, Mass Transfer, Energy and Environment.
