    Prof. Sanjay Jain is a Civil engineer from IIT Bombay, Class of 1984. Later, he did his Master of Design in Industrial Design at Industrial Design Centre, IIT Bombay in 1986. In an industrial career spanning about 20 years, he has served Indian industries in senior design positions - starting as Industrial Designer in Uptron India Ltd, Lucknow designing color televisions and electronic appliances for 7 years. He joined Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting since its inception, as Head of Product Design in 1993 and worked for 10 years. He and his design team helped Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting build design and innovation as its core business strengths and differentiators. Sanjay is a Motorola trained Green Belt of Six Sigma Quality Mission, Wipro. He joined MIT Institute of Design, Pune as Founder Director - Academics and helped build the institute as one of the most sought-after design institutes in India in last decade. He contributed to building various academic collaborations with prominent design institutes from Hong Kong, Singapore, Europe and UK. Sanjay strongly believes that 'learning' and 'creating' should be intense joy for everyone involved in it.

    Prof. Anant is a hardcore Engineering Postgraduate having a good innovative mind. A person with a very cool head on his young shoulders is known for his innovative and creative ideas in education. He did his graduation in Mechanical Engineering and his post graduation in Production engineering with 'Manufacturing Automation' as a specialization. After spending 6 years in small and medium scale industry, he joined MIT in 1993 as a junior lecturer in Production Engineering Department. He was instrumental for bringing latest technology to the institute and started MIT CAD CAM Training and Design Centre in the year 2000. His last responsibility was as the Head of Workshop and Production Engineering Department. Presently he is the Dean of MIT Academy of Engineering, MIT Art, Commerce and Science College, MIT School of Telecom Management and Dean – Design Habitat of MIT Institute of Design. His areas of interests are Analytical Drawing, Manufacturing Processes, Product Development, CAD CAM Automation, Tool Design and Development. He has undergone various Training programs in all these areas. He has also worked on many industrial projects dealing with tool design, product design and development. He has visited Italy, France, Germany, China and Malaysia for attending various conferences and meetings. He has habit of Dreaming about the new ventures and through his hard-work he conceptualizes those nicely and effectively. In-fact MIT ID is the brain child of Prof. Anant His further aim is establish a 'Design Habitat' which will have facilities of learning in the areas of Fine arts, Design, Architecture. He also has plans to start giving services to the industry and society in these areas through 'MIT Industrial Design Centre'.

    Dhimant is a senior and expert faculty member with over 25 years of experience. He has worked in diverse capacities at premier institutions, namely the National Institute of Design (NID) Ahmedabad, School of Interior Design, National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Gandhinagar, Indus Valley school of Art and Architecture, Pakistan and MIT Institute of Design, Pune. Prof. Dhimant Panchal is an alumnus of the National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad in Industrial Design (Product Design discipline). He has to his credit several patents and registrations for the design of hand tools, Solsons Exim, and is a recipient of UNDP Fellowship. His focus and interest spans across Product Design, Exhibition Design and Corporate Identity Program. With an expertise in developing design pedagogy in areas of Industrial design and Fashion and Lifestyle Accessory design, he has crafted academic design programs, which includes Design Foundation Programmes, courses at Basic design level as well as at advanced levels. He has extensive professional experience as a Design Consultant, where he rendered his services to industries ranging from home appliances, eyewear and jewelry, bio-medical engineering, CNC automation and tooling, as well as memento and trophy designs for various renowned organizations.

    Vydianathan is a Communication Design graduate from National Institute of Design Ahmadabad. He has worked in various domains over two decades as professional experience such as Television Broadcasting, extensively in eLearning for multiple verticals such as K-12, Higher Education, Hi-Technology, Healthcare, Engineering, Finance, Management . He possesses expertise in Branding and Marketing. His journey in eLearning began from designing set a set 5 CDROM’s for teaching children in USA Mathematics, later he got trained formally as Instructional Designer to work with Singapore Airforce to design and develop their computer based training modules. He has worked as key member of team to set up a eLearning division for IT company in Bangalore. He set up design and development team to design and develop a learning management system as platform for US client. He moved to Chennai and worked with a Pre-publishing firm who develop high end learning publication for international publishers. He has designed complete Project Management software for a Pre publishing firm for various key stakeholders to get insights into daily operations across multiple teams. He worked as Functional Head for a eLearning company managing large design and development team working from multiple locations and on varied learnings solutions across domains. He designed a digital edutainment product solution for improving the employability quotient for college students from Cities, 2 Tier & 3 Tiers towns. The purpose of the solution was to reduce the gap between Industry requirements and Students awareness, expectations and competency levels. This solution was implemented across many colleges across Tamilnadu and was appreciated by the Management and students. He worked in a Healthcare Software company designing multiple digital applications for Health seekers, Doctors and Hospitals for efficiently monitoring, managing and consulting their requirements. He also worked on their branding and designing the marketing campaigns. He is interested in many areas of communication design such as understanding various tools and techniques for conducting research and develop methodologies for social needs and designing effective communication strategies using multiple media for campaigns. He is interested in making ethnographic documentary films and sharing stories of aspiration, dreams and issues from various communities.

    Sugandha Gaur

    Sugandha is a creativity enthusiast with a design and aesthetic experience. She has a Masters in Fine Arts (MFA) in Applied Art from College of Art, Delhi. An active academician and professional, she was associated as the Creative Mentor and an Assistant Professor in Miami Ad School, Mumbai, and College of Art, Delhi, respectively. Sugandha has worked as an Art Director for leading global brands at TBWA, Gurgaon. Sugandha is an Assistant Professor for Graphic Design at Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT) Institute of Design (ID). Sugandha was the recipient of Junior Research Fellowship award by University Grants Commission, and a Silver Pencil Nomination award by D&AD for being a Tutor on a project done by students at Miami Ad School, Mumbai. She has recently submitted her Ph.D. thesis in Media Arts at the University of Delhi and is looking forward to enhancing her students’ understanding of exceptional advertising communication and design concepts.

    Chaitanya is a passionate academician with a diverse experience in Manufacturing, Automation and CAD service industries. He is an alumnus of College of Engineering, Pune (COEP) with Masters in Technology (M. Tech) in Manufacturing Engineering and Automation. As an active faculty member of Industrial Design at Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT) Institute of Design (ID), he is responsible for managing cognitive courses with Design projects focused on transportation and mobility. Chaitanya has worked as faculty with the Mechanical Engineering Department of MIT, Pune. As a UGC approved faculty in the Workshop Department (Under Mechanical Engineering Department), he was involved in conducting various courses for mechanical and production engineering. In the Design Center of Dana Inc., he worked on design projects of vehicle lower frames and structures (underbody components and assemblies) for various programs of GM, Ford, Toyota, and VW. He was instrumental in setting up and functioning of rapid prototyping facility and delivered turnkey projects right from design to prototyping to various clients like Tata Visteon, Taco, Apollo Tyres, IIT Powai, Sancheti Hospital, ARAI, Bill-care. As the Design Engineer at Force Motors Ltd, he was a team member of Production Engineering Department (Engine Section) and supporting activities essential for design, development, manufacture and assembly of engines for various LMV and HMV projects.
