Prof. Sanjay Jain is a Civil engineer from IIT Bombay, Class of 1984. Later, he did his Master of Design in Industrial Design at Industrial Design Centre, IIT Bombay in 1986. In an industrial career spanning about 20 years, he has served Indian industries in senior design positions - starting as Industrial Designer in Uptron India Ltd, Lucknow designing color televisions and electronic appliances for 7 years. He joined Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting since its inception, as Head of Product Design in 1993 and worked for 10 years. He and his design team helped Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting build design and innovation as its core business strengths and differentiators. Sanjay is a Motorola trained Green Belt of Six Sigma Quality Mission, Wipro. He joined MIT Institute of Design, Pune as Founder Director - Academics and helped build the institute as one of the most sought-after design institutes in India in last decade. He contributed to building various academic collaborations with prominent design institutes from Hong Kong, Singapore, Europe and UK. Sanjay strongly believes that 'learning' and 'creating' should be intense joy for everyone involved in it.

MIT Institute of Design
Trained as an Engineer and Industrial Designer, Kuntal De started his career working with the Handicrafts Sector in India and a few countries in the Indian sub-continent. He was slowly attracted to the larger picture of development and the growing social issues and concerns and moved towards non-formal and informal education and technology-aided delivery of education for sustainable development. He is also committed to youth and community engagement. He has worked in a range of areas, from livelihoods and youth forum facilitation to design for sustainable development. After the 2004 tsunami, he was part of the shelter redesigning team, assigned to develop sustainable shelters for the aborigines (Onges) of the Andaman Islands. Over the years, Kuntal has been associated with the Commonwealth of Learning, Oxfam International Youth Partnership, Global Forum for Agricultural Research, Young Professionals for Agricultural Research and Development, Global Exchange in Leadership Initiative and other organisations engaged in addressing social issues and concerns. Kuntal has been a faculty member in a number of Institutes such as Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology, National Institute of Design and Pearl Academy. He is currently the in charge of the Foundation Programme at MIT Institute of Design Pune.
Design Directions Pvt. Ltd.
A graduate of National Institute of Design, his firm Design Directions Pvt Ltd., founded in 1988 by him and his better half - Falguni - combines design, technology, aesthetics and relevant materials to create a major impact on industrial, medical, electronic and consumer products. Satish is a recipient of several local and international awards and has been a jury member on several design award committees - local and overseas. He is also a member of several committees on design. He has been invited to speak at several National and International Design conferences.
Design Studio Leader
With total experience of 17 yrs he is presently heading GE Healthcare India design team.He has worked in various areas of design, has experience of more than 10 yrs in leading team at different organizations with people of diverse background. Overall experience includes design management, strategic design and also hands-on experience in executing design till the last detail. He has gone through full life cycle of various software and hardware products. Experience of product development from scratch as well as experience in design research. Won international design award and hold design patent.
Creative Head / CEO
Manoj heads Wisdom Tree, a creative consultancy, that uses Strategy and Creative Communication for build lasting brands. 'I use creativity and conceptual thinking for brand leadership,' he says. During his stint with Lowe Lintas, Manoj worked on diverse areas from corporate to retail. Prior to that he was with Bates Pangulf, where he was busy with the communication of international fashion brands, shopping malls and banks. His first professional engagement was as a Communication Consultant to IPCL (now Reliance Petrochemicals). This exposed him to wide ranging policy issues. A graduate of the National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad, Manoj is the recipient of NID's 'Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Scroll of Honour'. London International Advertising Award and New York Festivals Award are among the awards he has won.

Miti Desai is a Designer, Classical Dancer and Educationist. Miti is an alumnus of Sophia Polytechnic-Mumbai, Portfolio Center-USA, Bauhaus Theatre-Germany, Goldsmiths University-London and Nateshvari Dance Gurukul-Mumbai. Communication through the external medium of graphic design led Miti to an internal expression of body design, rediscovering Classical Indian Dance. Indian Dance has been the key to the artist’s return to her cultural roots, symbols and world-view resulting in an innate understanding of culture, aesthetics and its influence and inspiration in design, education, arts and the environment. Miti engages in bringing the sense of design into her own body on the one hand, and towards extending it to the environment on the other. Miti is the founder and creative head at Miti Design Lab; an interdisciplinary design studio and the Executive Trustee at Shaktiyogasrama Gurukulam; a cultural commune dedicated to the study and practice of sacred arts and holistic sciences assimilated with a spiritual vision and lifestyle. With a professional design and teaching experience of 14 years Miti believes in a vision of design which is holistic; an amalgamation and investigation of both material and dematerialized design practice.
