Dr. Vladimir Kulish is an established academician with a focused interest in Thermo-Molecular Physics, Applied Mathematics, and Mechanical Engineering. Dr. Kulish has a Dr. Sc. in Physics and Mathematics from the Russian Academy of Sciences, a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Southern Methodist University (Dallas, Texas), and M. A. in German Language & Literature from the Goethe Institute (Luxembourg). Before Avantika, Professor Kulish was associated with the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) as a regular faculty member for over 17 years. An ardent academician and researcher, Dr. Kulish's primary research interests are in the area of mathematical modeling of energy-informational transport processes, including transport phenomena in biological systems. Professor Kulish has been instrumental in developing a mathematical method (nowadays known as the method of Kulish). It allows solving complex problems in the areas of energy transport processes (e.g., ultra-fast heat transfer, start-up flows in nano-channels) and signal processing (e.g., biological signals such as electroencephalograms, electrocardiograms, and forecasting the behavior of multi-fractal time series). A celebrated author of six books and more than hundred publications in professional journals and peer-reviewed conference proceedings, Dr. Kulish is a holder of several prestigious awards for his scientific achievements. Dr. Prasheel has more than 2-decades of experience in academics, research, and consulting, and his proficiency as a teacher and researcher has been widely acknowledged. Dr. Prasheel has pursued a deeper understanding of the dynamics between Design and Engineering, with a focus on Design-Centered Education. This liberal approach aims at, transcending disciplinary boundaries, creating new directions, giving birth to new ideas, and having the confidence to bring about a change. A passionate researcher, Dr. Prasheel's primary research interests are in sliding mode control, uncertainty and disturbance estimation, active disturbance rejection control, and autonomous systems. He has made significant contributions in robust control, by combining uncertainty estimation techniques with sliding-mode control, and developing simultaneous state and disturbance observers for uncertain systems. Dr. Prasheel has received research grants to the tune of INR 5-million and contributed significantly in engineering and educational consulting. A celebrated author of 4-books, 3-book-chapters, and over 50-research papers in archival journals and peer-reviewed conferences, Dr. Prasheel is also the author of several monographs, technical reports, and white-papers. Sanjay is a Civil engineer from IIT Bombay, Class of 1984. Later, he did his Master of Design in Industrial Design at Industrial Design Centre, IIT Bombay in 1986. In an industrial career spanning about 20 years, he has served Indian industries in senior design positions - starting as Industrial Designer in Uptron India Ltd, Lucknow designing color televisions and electronic appliances for 7 years. He joined Wipro Consumer Care and Lighting since its inception, as Head of Product Design in 1993 and worked for 10 years. He and his design team helped Wipro Consumer Care and Lighting build design and innovation as its core business strengths and differentiators. Sanjay is a Motorola trained Green Belt of Six Sigma Quality Mission, Wipro. He joined MIT Institute of Design, Pune as Founder Director - Academics and helped build the institute as one of the most sought-after design institutes in India in last decade. He contributed to building various academic collaborations with prominent design institutes from Hong Kong, Singapore, Europe and UK. Sanjay strongly believes that 'learning' and 'creating' should be intense joy for everyone involved in it.
Rakesh has a Ph.D. from the Central University of Allahabad, UP, India in Steady and Unsteady Hydro Dynamical Flows and Heat Transfer Problems. He is a thorough academician with over 20 years of experience and has held senior positions in the Department of Mathematics across renowned educational institutions from India. Before Avantika, he was the Professor and Head, Department of Applied Science and Humanities with ITS Engineering College Greater Noida, Dr. A P J Technical University, UP, India. Beyond this, he has also had international teaching experience with BITS Pilani at their Dubai Campus, and at Jazan University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Rakesh has published several research papers and conference papers. He has also co-authored curriculum books on Mathematics for Engineering students.
Hemant is a Professor with Avantika University. He is an Artist, along with being an Art and Design Educationist. He has a Ph.D. from Barkatullah University, Bhopal in Drawing and Painting. With over 20 years of teaching experience, he has worked as a Principal, HOD, Art Director, and Guest Lecturer at various renowned private and government educational institutions. Before Avantika, he was the Principal at SDPS Women's College. He was also associated with Government Fine Arts College, Indore as the Assistant Professor (Art Director). His expertise lies in Mural Design, Graphics, Etching, and Sculpture. Moreover, he has mastered Indian traditional Folk painting and Wash Techniques. He has won several national and international awards, including National Kalidas Puraskar. Additionally, he has been instrumental in conducting a variety of workshops and has authored several research papers and publications for Art, Design, and Education.
Kuntal is a National Institute of Design (NID) Ahmedabad alumnus with a diverse experience in both industry and academics. His interest lies in Education for Sustainable Development, Systems studies and development, Space-Structure and form, Communication Technology, Science and Liberal Arts, Environmental concerns. As a specialist in Product Design, he has been associated with DC (H), NCPDDP, NIVH, and Taj Khazana. With a deeper interest in handicraft sector, he has even developed the Bamboo and Cane Development Institute, Agartala, and Srinagar Craft Development Institute. Further, he has been significantly involved in UNDP Fibre and Handicraft Impact Assessment and Evaluation as well as "Handmade in India: Handicrafts of India." He is also a regular faculty member at Dhirubhai Institute of Information and Communication Technology, Gandhinagar, engaged in developing and operationalizing the Master in Design (M. Des) program in Multimedia. Kuntal is an Assistant Professor, Incharge H.O.D. FOR PreDesign at Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT) Institute of Design (ID). Kuntal has been actively associated in a range of areas, from livelihood and youth forum facilitation to design for sustainable development. He had been a part of the shelter redesigning team assigned to develop sustainable shelter for the aborigines (Onges) of Andamans after the tsunami. Kunal is conferred with Coronation Badge of His Highness from the King of Bhutan, 2014. He is also an Honorary Fellowship of Global Exchange in Leadership Initiatives (GEILI), 2012.
Dr. Yogesh Bhalerao is a committed educationalist, administrator and researcher. He competed his Bachelors and Masters in Mechanical Engineering from the then University of Pune. His PhD work entitled 'Thermal Analysis of Grinding Process' was well received and appreciated by distinguished experts in the domain. He has also been the proud recipient of the 'Young Scientist Award' from Department of Science and Technology (DST), India under the FASTTRACK Scheme. He continues to pursue his post Ph.D. research from the Liverpool John Moores University, Liverpool, United Kingdom. Through the many years of his work in the higher education sector, he has gained a rich experience that can be flexibly deployed across domains and functions.
