Design Thinking Workshop conducted for school children in Bhopal

Avantika University – an MIT Pune campus at Ujjain organized a workshop with Ryan International School to help students experience the Spirit of Design and explore a new era of creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

An experimental learning workshop on Design Thinking was organized by Team Avantika for aspiring students from Ryan International School in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.

The workshop titled 'Experience Avantika' facilitated learning by creating an interactive environment for students. The session received participation from about 80 students from 11th and 12th grade. It provided them a hands-on experience of prototyping ideas and showcasing creativity by making practical solutions. Further, it helped them foster the Design Thinking mind-set by developing analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Students were trained on a variety of problem-solving techniques by working on live projects wherein they brainstormed within teams to come up with unique prototypes and solutions. It presented them with an opportunity to learn the new stream of education with Design as a fundamental.

With this workshop, Team Avantika inculcated problem-solving trait amongst students through a variety of team building activities, followed by a deep dive into the Design Thinking process. With its creative thinking and experimentation based approach, Avantika is confident of creating change makers who will transform the society.
