With the objective of reaching out to the student community by exploring fun with learning, Avantika University, India's first design university recently organized a design workshop recently with a mixed batch of over 100 design education aspirants. The workshop offered an exclusive opportunity for participants to create solutions by applying fundamentals from the world of Design and Design Thinking. The 3-hour focused initiative encouraged students to build practical solutions by applying design principles. It offered them with a hands-on opportunity to brainstorm, implement their ideas and prototype them by showcasing their creativity. The initiative commenced with an ice breaking session where attendees had to form teams through the effective use of sounds. Following this, the participant groups were encouraged to think visually.They had to detail out and express through pictorial solutions and thereby understanding the importance of visual communication.

Despite a short time at disposal, all the groups created unique working models/solutions that helped provide a practical answer to the identified problems. This workshop alleviated attendees to develop their problem-solving skills by exploring empathy, communication and collaboration across all levels. Avantika team facilitated learning by experimentation through a whole fun environment premise. The participants even shared their experience and provided feedback from the exercise.
