Bridging The Gap Between Academia And The Industry

One must understand that the sections of academia and industry no longer remain detached; the collaboration of them both is essential in the overall development of a student.

The curriculum at Avantika University does an excellent job of actively integrating the dynamics of the industry into its academics, by embracing a practical framework of studies, students tackle real-world problems and case studies. Students here avail opportunities of wide exposure to gain knowledge of the industry and a spectacular skillset, giving them an edge in today’s increasingly competitive environment.

Weekly industry engagement activities are held in the form of iConnect sessions, where students get to interact with industry leaders who are invited on campus. The university also conducts industrial visits where an in-depth understanding of the working environment is grasped.

Activities like this, although they have faculty guidance, are majorly student-led. The student committee and the placement cell are avenues where students directly engage with the real industry. This facilitates the building of relations through networking, acquiring valuable interpersonal, and communication skills in the process.

We have a similar association between students and industry forming the backbone of our podcast, Avantika Designeering Series. Where we already have an impressive lineup of pioneers, in the design and technology domain, we not only got a chance to interview them but also have student interaction at an extremely personal level.

Offering such an assortment of industrial connect activities, Avantika University aims to nurture team spirit and thought leadership amongst all its students. The above translates into reality as we achieved 100% internships and placements for our senior batches and master students, even in the pandemic times. At Avantika, we keep striving to bridge the gap between industry and academia, with a Virtual Career Fair in the works we wish to take on this pandemic with a good spirit and continue to do so.
